Corporate Workshops

North Star offers a suite of workshops that provide a coaching approach to leadership development. All of our programs are highly interactive and leaders walk away with practical tools they can implement immediately. Leaders apply the skills and concepts they are learning from the moment they walk in the door. Follow up coaching is included in all of our workshops to ensure the learning sticks and is applied once leaders are back in the real world. The workshops are offered in half day, full day and two day packages. In addition to the workshops listed below, we can custom design a program that fits your business objectives.

Ignite Your Leadership: Leading with Purpose, Vision and Values

In this program we explore values-based leadership. Leaders create their ideal vision and articulate their core purpose and core values that guide them on the road to attaining the vision. Through interactive, experiential exercise, leaders begin the process of aligning their daily activities to the big picture. They learn to lead by example as they "walk the walk" of their leadership in all that they do.

Ignite Your Life: Goal Setting for Success

In this program we explore the topic of work/life integration and sustainability. We begin by having leaders explore what success means to them and open the lid on possibility. Leaders examine all of the areas of their lives and take inventory of how satisfied they are and then get real about what's really going on in their lives. Once we have a snapshot of their lives, leaders set goals to take their lives to the next level and practice some introductory coaching skills to create accountability.

Ramping Up: Coming Back After Baby

In this program we work with women leaders transitioning back after maternity leave. We help them to create strategies for success when navigating the "on-ramp." We examine their new realities and take a holistic look at how they can build on their strengths, address necessary weaknesses and learn to delegate effectively in their newly expanded roles. We focus on "integration" - performing multi-purpose activities versus multi-tasking. Relationship-building skills are introduced, as women will need to effectively design alliances with key players to move from surviving to thriving.

Ignite Your Feedback: Coaching to Excellence

Honest, constructive feedback is a rare commodity in organizations today. Individuals tend to either avoid tough topics entirely, opting instead for the "corporate nod" of inauthentic niceties or wait until topics build up and explode. When done consistently, constructively and effectively, feedback conversations can deepen the relationship and take both individuals to the next level of leadership. In this program we integrate existing performance management methodologies into a coaching approach to feedback. Leaders walk away with a customized tool and the skills to immediately implement a positive coaching approach to feedback. We help leaders to "get real" with each other, for the sake of authentic communication and ultimately increased performance across the board.

Ignite Your Sales: Coaching for Results

At the core, great sales come from making a genuine connection with your customer, actively listening to what they want and pulling from them what their ideal solution is. Empathy is a key characteristic when connecting with customers as the more you can embody their perspective and understand their challenges the better able you are to present them with a solution that is meaningful to them. In this workshop we present a coaching approach to sales where participants learn to overcome fears and build confidence when dealing with customers. We introduce some powerful coaching skills that instantly deepen relationships with clients and enhance listening and communications skills. Finally, we help leaders to align their sales activities to a broader purpose and build on individual strengths to create a sales approach that is authentic and compelling.
